Was AOC really our #1 transfer choice?

Who would be #2? I hope it's DJC

next year we'll be a TOP destination for grad/play immediate transfers - hopefully we'll have put together a top 5/10 deep NCAA run season - we'll have a shitload of playing time in an offense that a lot of recruits will kill to play in. lots to sell.

sure it'd be better to have them learn the system and do S&C for a year - but play the hand you're dealt.

plus - the current silly season is far from over.

Nice crystal ball you’ve got there.

Interesting bit of insight that O’Connell was our #1 target as a transfer. It really is a win-win for him and us. He gets the year to so S&C and integrate into the team, and we get an instant, mature, starting player for the following year.

Who is #2, though? I'd like a scoring PG of some sort, but we'll see ;)

Obviously everyone hoping for Carton and Walton at this point, and I think we have a decent shot but shouldn’t get our hopes up.

Someone like Dejulius from Michigan is intriguing since he does have backup PG experience as well as SG and would have 2 years left. He would be a nice insurance option in case MZ leaves early then you could have Shereef and him split time at the point and bring in a 2021 PG freshman for 5-10 minutes a game.

He shoots 36% from 3 and is somewhat undersized at 6’0 but he did put up 20 in their last game on the road at Maryland so he’s definitely capable and think he could really develop in Macs system.

Good one. Made me smile. I like the initials for the new team member. AOC is AOK.

Seton Hall lands Harvard grad transfer Bryce Aiken.

Really good player. SH needed that one. Averaged over 20 a game in 2018-19, averaged around 17 this year before getting hurt

Should make them a tourney team and probably top 5 Big East team. They are also possible leaders for top 50 C Adama Sanogo who is gonna reclassify to 2020.

If this name was mentioned elsewhere, apologies.

On Jeff Goodman's transfer portal list, he has Umoja Gibson - a 6'1", 170 pound guard from North Texas, as being linked to Creighton. He would sit one year, play one, without a waiver.

Averaged 14.5 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 41% FG, 39% 3PT, 84.5% FT, 1.4 steals, 2.5 turnovers over 30 minutes per game.

"He's elite at shooting off the catch, and has deep range. He's an active and aggressive on-ball defender that plays hard all the time."

Other schools: Auburn, Arkansas, TCU, Oklahoma, Butler, SMU, Boise State

Might we finally get something good out of North Texas?
