Arizona just landed a top grad transfer from Seattle, should hopefully help us a bit in getting Walton.

Yeah, the guy averaged over 20ppg last season at Seattle University. Big time scorer.

Once Josh Green announces he is going to the NBA they will have 4 scholarship spots open.

They’re also going really hard after transfers Trey Wertz and Johnny Juzang

Rivals’ Corey Evans mentioned Walton in his newest piece.

“For Kerwin Walton, he has been one of the more difficult recruits to read throughout the year. A commitment date has not been set but, just last week, Walton cut his list to a final six of Arizona, Creighton, Georgetown, Minnesota, North Carolina and Vanderbilt. While the Hoyas have a chance, I think Arizona and Creighton are in a better position, though it remains a total guessing game with Walton and who he will ultimately commit to.”

I think it’s going to come down to us and Arizona. I don’t think UNC has any scholarships right now. Vanderbilt? Meh. His dad failed to mention Minnesota last week in an interview and I think that’s telling. He hasn’t even visited Georgetown and they entered his recruitment late.

For the ‘Kerwin Walton can’t go to Creighton’ crowd: The Blue Jays are still in the mix and do have an open spot for Walton who’s one of their top priorities currently.

In addition, he virtually visited Georgetown, in which he didn’t previously visit.

2020 G Tyrin Lawrence just committed to Vanderbilt, doubt they were a factor for Walton but might narrow his choices to 5.
