Both DeVries and Sandfort from Waukee...hometown of Will Artino. Take 'em both. ;)

I'm impressed on how many Iowans we 'show interest' in. Glad to see we are remaking contacts in a state where we used to do really well. Artino (and also Doug and Gibbs) is our last scholarshiped Iowan on the team. Who would have thought we would not have a player from a decent basketball state

I think Marlin Stewart was from Iowa. He came here for a year. He still plays for North Dakota. I think a coaches son from Iowa who plays forward and is a good three point shooter may fit in fine at Creighton.

Close. Stewart was from the Quad Cities, but on the Illinois side. Good to see him with huge PT for North Dakota, and he beat the Huskers.

Nope. Stewart played for Eldridge-North Scott, which won the '15 Iowa 4A state tournament, and he was 3rd team all-state.

Played at West Davenport too freshman and sophomore year. His hometown is listed as Rock Island, Illinois on UND's website however.

Apparently Devries is averaging 22 ppg and shooting 51% from 3 this season  .

He's got the size (6-5 or 6-6) and could be one of the best shooters in the class this year, and is a pretty good athlete and passer also. He's been working on guarding and given the new interest, he must have added enough quickness and agility to be a better defensive matchup.

DeVries, a 6-6 wing averaging 23.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game while shooting 59.2% and 50.6% from outside, holds offers from Drake (coached by his dad, Darian DeVries), Creighton (where his dad used to coach), Air Force and South Dakota State, but the main schools in the picture are Drake and Creighton.

He doesn't plan to take any visits until the spring. If he continues to play at this level, and, maybe more importantly, he informs schools he'll consider programs other than Creighton and his dad's, offers will likely come. It really depends on whether or not he wants those options. Iowa, Iowa State, Texas and Kansas are among the schools that have expressed interest.

Sandfort, a 6-7 wing averaging 19.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game while shooting 52.6% and 38.6% from long range, holds offers from Iowa, Minnesota, Utah, Loyola Chicago, Drake and Air Force. He officially visited Utah in October, just unofficially visited Minnesota last weekend and will be at Iowa on Sunday for the Illinois game. With the list of schools interested in him, including Stanford and Gonzaga, I'd expect him to play out at least part of his AAU season before making any decision.

Tucker's playing for OSA again so he'll be in Omaha plenty. There really isn't much of a need for him to make an effort to take visits to either Creighton or Drake considering he knows pretty much everything about both programs. I'd still guess Drake because someone I've talked to recently in Iowa isn't 100% sold he's a difference-maker at a high-major level but I'm looking forward to seeing him again this spring and summer.
