It's no wonder why the skers are the sh!t show of college bball.

He wants early PT, he doesn’t believe he can get that at Nebraska. And he’s probably not wrong. Not sure what that has to do with Hoiberg not liking that he’s a high character kid.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Utah St reached out. I know they were in the Omaha/Lincoln area recently doing some recruiting.

Sounds like Hoiberg is following the lead of Tim Miles and cutting loose Omaha kids at the last possible minute. Add to it that Williams is coming off of a torn ACL too and this stinks.

Hoiberg didn't cut him loose. He would have accepted his LOI had he signed it, even though he wasn't the one who recruited him to Nebraska. But the Nebraska staff didn't go all out to keep him either.

Sounds like Ohio State reached out to him today (per the OWH).

Did you not get my shot at what appears to be a desperate move by your beloved huskers?

Yes, very clever shot, Jays26. I actually think Hoiberg is a good coach, and a class act. From what I've heard, the McDermotts (dad and son) think the same. Isn't it possible to be a jays fan, and yes, want to pound the huskers every time we play them, without having to talk crap on them personally? I haven't heard anything from Hoiberg like Miles with his "only show in the state" mantra.

I wouldn’t call it desperate. Risky maybe? Of course, Hoiberg rebuilt a pretty down Iowa St program by recruiting some kids that had troubles elsewhere. Teddy is a great basketball player. We shall see if Hoiberg can keep him in line.
