Donovan Williams

Couldn't find a thread for him, so starting one. Decommitted from Nebraska today. Is there any interest on the Hill Top? Thought he was kind of a stretch when they offered him, but he was what a sophomore then? I think he might now be a top 150 or something. haven't looked it up.

Looks to now be a composite 4 star recruit originally only offered by mid-majors and below. Probably started to see he could do better.

I doubt it. We passed the first time around and he’s coming off an ACL surgery. It sounds like Hoiberg virtually asked him to leave.

He should have waited until May to decommit. Then every high major with a scholarship left would have been on him like white on rice.

If Lok Wur can get to Oregon, Williams could.

He's a top 100 recruit so he'll get some offers im sure. Wasnt there an issue with his attitude or something?

He's looking for immediate playing time and is very open about it. Some have taken that as he isn't willing to work and won't work hard unless he is given that early opportunity. Not sure it is that big of a deal, most players ranked that high are looking for immediate playing time...they just don't decommit and openly say that it was because they might not get immediate PT.

Odd to see that highly a rated kid with so few P6 (only UNL I think) offers, but might be because he committed to UNL pretty early on. Someone posted his shooting percentage somewhere, which was not real good. He might just be one of those kids that the ratings people didn't get right.

Maybe, but he also was very open about Nebraska being his #1, and he isn’t back from a torn ACL until Jan. 7th. Wouldn’t expect and other P6 schools to offer until he shows how he plays after the injury.

Yeah, last two years in high school he shot around 30% from 3.

Hoiberg doesn't want kids like Williams, he prefers high character guys like Teddy.

It's no wonder why the skers are the sh!t show of college bball.
