"I'm just getting to know colleges that are looking at me," the 6-foot-8 combo forward said. "I'm enjoying it. It's just a fun process."
Schlatter has attended games at Iowa, Wisconsin, Creighton, Northern Iowa and Drake.
"I went to the Ohio State game (at Iowa)," said Schlatter, who is very interested in the Hawkeyes. "It didn't turn out the way I wanted, but the crowd was pumped."
Schlatter is trying to get a feel for the schools recruiting him.
"I'm just trying to look for the team atmosphere that we have on the Barnstormers," he said. "I want to see how the coaches treat the players. Are they treating everyone the same? "
Schlatter is working on his game around the basket. He shows an advanced perimeter presence for a 6-8, 16-year old.
"I'm working on rebounding and being active, finishing strong and being able to guard a smaller guy," Schlatter said.
Schlatter hopes the progress that he's made will advance his already strong relationship with the Hawkeyes.
"I feel like we're both pretty interested in each other and still working on the process, getting to know each other," he said. "I'm trying to figure out the system."

The long wiry forward stepped up at times on the weekend as he displayed a versatile offensive package that featured post moves, perimeter shots beyond the arc, etc. Has the ability to take over games offensively but needs to be more active and aggressive every time he takes the floor.
