this is pretty funny.

you would think at some point the folks at wisconsin would realize what damage they are doing to themselves - and just say "f*ck it - go where you want, JU"

this is gonna get used against UW by every coach in the country when going head to head for any recruit.

Katz just reported all transfer restrictions lifted except Big 10 schools.

I wonder if he'll even visit now.

I am happy about this actually. Now if he comes to Creighton, this is the place he will have chosen rather than it being his only option.

I totally agree DEK. After reading what his AAU coach said, I do think he will look at all his options. I would guess he would keep our visit and talk with IA St. for sure. UNI has told him they don't have any Scholarships left so if he wants to stay close to home he has few other options that I can think of. Sounds like his academics are high on his list of priorities so his major may come into play?

The latest story says he's considering Creighton, Iowa State, Florida and the slow motion team in Cedar Falls (which really doesn't make a lot of sense if the reason for leaving Wisky was style of play as he said earlier). Also says he may try to appeal the remaining B1G restrictions. Of course, this article quotes Jamie Johnson again, not Uthoff.

DEK wrote:As I understand it, the Big Ten has its own rules regarding transfers within conference and does not allow schools to grant scholarships for the rest of the transferring player's career. This has nothing to do with Wisconsin or Bo Ryan or Barry Alvarez. He will not be able to go to a Big Ten school regardless of how badly Wisconsin wants to loosen the restrictions to better their own image.

The rule changed this year. Here's a gigantic breakdown of the new rule, with some analysis:
