This story is getting huge attention and ugly quick. I wonder if Wisconsin will cave and allow Uthoff to transfer to most schools (except Big 10 and Marquette) or hold pat (like Martelli did at St. Joes). If so, this will hurt our chances of landing him...

Well, there is no way Alvarez can over rule Bo Ryan. That would cause a huge issue within the department. I can't imagine Wisc. is blocking this unless they feel they have a reason to. They knew there would be a fire storm after what happened at St. Joes. That was worse b/c Martelli didn't let him go anywhere, at least Jarrod has some choices, albeit more limited than he would like.

I just have the feeling maybe this isn't meant to be. We will have to be convinced Uthoff will be happy being a Bluejay. We have such great chemisty with this team. Don't want him always feeling he should have been somewhere else. He would be a great get and fit for sure though.

For Ryan, I get the feeling that this has gone beyond the point of no return. Egos are involved with high major coaches, for all college coaches for that matter, and I just don't see him giving in for the media circus that has resulted. Martelli did the same thing despite the negative media.

It would be nice if the Zierdens could be in town when Jarrod visits CU. Isaiah could show him how he could stretch the defense with his shooting and NBA coach Zierden could talk about what a great fit Jarrod would be in this offense. Go Jays!!!

Another piece on the situation: [link]

Also, I think I heard mention of the story on Mike & Mike on ESPN this morning. Anyone hear more?
