My grandson played basketball with Tucker at OSA back in grade school. Tucker was by far the best overall player on the team and maybe the best in the league. He was a big kid who could do many things on the court.

If you want that to happen you could argue that he should come here.

I don’t see Mac here by the time Tucker would be a senior. He’ll have left voluntarily by then.

If you think D-Rock is his replacement...there you go.

You think Mac leaves voluntarily in the next two years?

Don't see Mac leaving, but definitely see D-Rock moving on to somewhere else if he puts a couple of good years together

I meant DeVries as a CU senior.

I’ve heard more than a few times that Mac is not a ‘lifer’ in the sense that Knight or Coach K were, where running a program isn’t part of his DNA, and that he appreciates that there is life after basketball.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if he doesn’t make it to 60 as our coach, especially if a friend like D-Rock is successful at Drake and ready to step in.

He’s not ever getting fired, not with Bruce there. He will walk, it’ll be on his terms, and earlier than one might imagine.

Gotcha, thought you meant senior in HS.

Also, I’ve heard the same regarding Mac, that it wouldn’t be a shock for him to retire around 60. He would have no problem retiring in Arizona and playing golf (who wouldn’t, honestly?).

We will see

Sacrilege!! How darest thou speak ill of Mac. Leave the Hilltop? Voluntarily or otherwise...sacrilege.
He can't leave before reaching an NCAA EE. On his schedule that will take at least 6-8 years.

I don’t get the feeling that reaching the EE is Mac’s top goal in life.
