Such a great pickup! Let's make sure he doesn't look elsewhere between now and when he signs his LOI.

A perfect fit for this team. Great job by the staff!

Love this, especially with the staffs history of developing big men. I hope JE is healthy all season to set an example.

"In the end, Kalkbrenner picked Creighton over offers from Purdue, Illinois, Stanford, Kansas, Cincinnati, Missouri and numerous other programs.

Kalkbrenner initially made an official visit to Creighton during June, and then he doubled back for an unofficial visit in September, and though Purdue put together a tremendous fight, it was the Bluejays that were able to sell him on his roll and style of play.

By announcing his commitment on Sunday night, this gives Creighton the type of big that fits in very well with what they like to do.

The Bluejays were able to sell Kalkbrenner on their visit for how they use centers, and how it would fit into his specific skill set. Creighton likes to use their center as a dive man on the pick and roll, and also as someone who can pick and pop in certain situations.

Both of those roles are how Kalkbrenner has excelled in the past, to go along with being a unique talent as a shot blocker.

This is the first commitment for the Bluejays in the class of 2020, and it gives them a tremendous start. Kalkbrenner was their priority target to add depth to the post, and they were able to land him and get it done.

Now look for Crieghton to continue to try and add to their growing roster with some shooters on the perimeter as they try and fill out their remaining roster spots with offensive versatility and scoring punch."

One site said his wingspan was 7-6. May not be quite that long, but he's got tremendous length for defensive play
