Matt Mooney and Joe Cremo kinda hurt
For some reason, this one doesn’t hurt (for me).
We still don't have an actual 4 on the roster. Jefferson, Ballock, and Mahoney are not real 4s and I'll keep banging this drum as long as necessary.
Even if you don't think Wur would have contributed next year, he'd fill that role over the course of the following few seasons. Now we're waiting for Mors. In 2021. It's just poor roster management.

As was Patton when he came in. He still managed to play the 5 spot after his RS year.
Chicagojayfan wrote:and has expressly said he's a "Guard" and not a "Forward".
So what? He's 6'9. That might be a wing in the NBA, but at the college level he's going to be played at the 4 spot at most schools. Maybe he can slide down to the 3 at Oregon, but I'd be surprised if they do since they're losing Kenny Wooten and Louis King. All they have left at the 5 is Okoro. Wur would be the next tallest player on the roster(!)
They are bringing in a couple of 6'8 forwards who could be better at the 5 spot, but the roster gets small after that pretty quick - like listed shorter than Ballock small. So if Wur doesn't redshirt there, he's likely going to be playing the 4 at Oregon by default.
Chicagojayfan wrote:At this point, he can't match up against BE 4's nearly as well as Mahoney, Jefferson, or even Ballock.
Maybe, maybe not. But I did mention that
he'd fill that role over the course of the following few seasons.
Not necessarily this upcoming one.
We have a hole at the 4 and it's not for just this next season, it's 2020-21, 21-22, etc.
