For the record and with humility, Patton played just one year at CU with moderate success but disappeared in the NCAA Tourney which we were one and done in, I was at that game within hearing distance of CU's bench, he was a non-factor. Also, he has played roughly 3 to 4 games in the NBA at this point with no other team seemingly interested in Patton. Other than being a first round draft choice, he will hardly be remembered in the Annals of CU history and his future in the NBA is up in the air - most NBA teams don't release 22 year old 7 footers if they feel that they have potential regardless of injury, two teams have released Patton to date.

coaches did what they could in this case. We stayed in touch even when he wasn't qualified and offered fast. Ties from the kid's dad to Altman made the difference.

Still, a lot of potential there, but also a lot of different questions around him also. Will be interesting to see how he progresses.
