No one has interest in non-quals except lower divisions and jucos. Wur is a project for sure: 6-8/9, 180, thinks he's a point guard. He has some talent, but evidently is not the top Neb talent either. Jacob or Neb HS Hoops could fill us in on that front. Schools are taking a shot, taking interest, to fill holes in their programs. Going to visit DA, then Hawaii? Hmmm.

I would imagine Lok has stars in his eyes, going from an afterthought to the center of attention. Dreams are made of such. Creighton has done and continues to do due diligence by offering, but Lok will probably go elsewhere with his newfound stardom. Move along...

One last thing... The score to be a Div 1 qualifier is one thing, but individual schools have their own requirements. Creighton admissions scores and a minimum qualifier score are not the same thing.

And I thought I was cynical.
Counterpoints - Khyri isn't comparable since he was under the radar but Justin absolutely got offers from big schools when he was committed to us. He still chose to stay home. If Wur is a big CU fan and wants the hometown star treatment like Tazz and JP, plus the ability to play in front of family, CU blows the competition away since we play in the BE and have great facilities that are on par or better than our competition. But if he doesn't want that, none of that matters, I guess. His comments support the former, however.
I feel fairly confident that compliance or whoever vetted him as soon as he became a qualifier. Because why would we offer a kid that we know wouldn't get accepted? It does nothing for us and it's totally unfair for the recruit.

Lok (pronounced Luke) was heading from the interview to Creighton to play with the team. He said Mac met and talked with his parents yesterday. Lok said his host dad coached Altman in high school and that getting a call from Dana was the one that surprised him most.

Dave Oman was Altman's HS coach. He's in his early 70's. Whether he is Wur's "host dad"... I have no idea. I don't think he lives in Omaha/Papillion now. But I could be wrong.

in recruit low score situations. thanks for the find...again.

We have enrolled student athletes who were basically NCAA qualifiers, at least since Dana got here (not a dig at Dana or the students). Hell, we admit non athletes who would basically be NCAA qualifiers if you look at GPA and ACT score.

Guys... We got P. Allen in.... I think we can find a way to get anyone in if needed.

We definitely need another forward. So let's hope he chooses the Hilltop and that the coaches and training table do their magic.

Anyone know his timeline for a decision?

Who has he visited? Or plans on visiting?

The decision is probably coming in the next week or so he can start practicing with a team starting in July.
