At this point what do you have to lose? We aren't filling all of our scholarships anyway. Worse case scenario for the team (I.e., Epperson continues to have health issues or struggles with foul trouble) he's a big body to at least defend inside, maybe get some rebounds and 5 fouls to give. Best case scenario for the team (i.e., Epperson goes thirty or so a game), you have another big for practice/scout team, which we are also sorely lacking right now. If it doesn't work out and we actually land a better big next year, then help him find a better fit. If he ends up being all conference, Mac looks like a genius. Only question to me would be whether he is a potential character issue, which I know absolutely nothing about. If he is not, then why not?

Lok got more than a dozen D1 offers as soon he qualified academically including legitimate school like A&M. I’m sure more offers are coming. With our scholarship situation as it currently stands, I can’t understand why we wouldn’t offer him.

Have any of you actually seen him play? Or just the video highlight? I’ve seen him play a ton over the last several years in the metro, and I would pass. Totally my opinion, but I don’t think he would make it. If they take him, I hope he proves me very wrong.

Is there someone better out there we are going to get this year? I know many out there think all is hunky dory with two guys over 6'5" on the team, but that's pure fantasy in my opinion. If there is someone better that we have a shot at landing, great. If not, why wouldn't you take best available? As I said, if he doesn't pan out, help him find a better fit next summer. As long as he can handle Creighton academically and isn't a bad character guy, what's the risk at this point? We've already missed all or our primary targets.

Lok Wur is probably not a 5 or 4, I hear he is a 6 9 wing. However, we need some taller dudes. I am sure if Mac wanted Lok Wur, Wur would sign with CU in a heartbeat so it wouldn't surprise me if this was one of Mac's Contingency plans he talked about a couple of weeks ago. So sign him and find a grad transfer to backup epperson.

Also, according to one source UCLA, VT, and Oregon are interested in Lok, don't know if that is true or not but a 6 9 athletic wing with upside that wouldn't surprise me.

He’s a 6’9 local kid who has an insane ceiling. You gotta at least offer him.

Yes well said, and one thing I will give Mac credit for is he the first CU coach that I can recall that owns his backyard.

I’ve never seen him play in person but saw the highlight videos and PM’d Padilla (whom I trust) with all before mentioned positives and he said “pass”, with academics being one of several reasons. This was 6-7 months ago. Maybe Jacob can provide a update.
