Been quiet in here Hilltop. I have to think that the staff is confident in Martin coming back or they would be much more active in this market.

Apparently we’re expressing interest in Idaho St grad transfer Kelvin Jones. 6’11 dude averaged 10 and 5.5 and 20 mins a game. Hope this doesn’t mean Martin is gone....

Agree, hope that isn't the reason. An alternate view is that we just want more depth up front and he's a big man who can run the floor a bit so we're checking in. Having a 6-11 guy on the roster for the coming year would be a good thing in addition to Martin and Epperson and Bishop

Kelvin Jones from Chihuahua, Mexico has moved around a bit.

Idaho State: (2018-19) Appeared in 29 games starting in 28... averaged 9.9 points and 5.6 rebounds in 20 minutes per game... scored in the double digits 14 different times... recorded 10 rebounds in three different games... scored a season high 20 points at Santa Clara on Dec. 7.

Odessa College: (2017-18) Played in 18 games and shot 51.3 percent.

UTEP: Played as a freshman in 2016-17 ... appeared in all 32 games and played 12.7 minutes ... averaged 3.4 points a game ... had 27 blocks, ranking him 14th in Conference USA ... had a season-best nine points, eight rebounds, three blocks and two assists vs. Florida International.

Hobbs HS: Was a member of the 6A state title team where he averaged 14.7 points, 9.9 rebounds and 3.2 blocks for a team that went 30-2 ... didn't start playing basketball until his freshman year of high school ... had 16 points and nine rebounds in the state championship game as a senior.

Idaho State 6-11 grad transfer Kelvin Jones (9.9 ppg, 5.6) told @Stadium he is looking at Washington State, Oregon State, Virginia Tech, Florida, Wake Forest, Oklahoma State, Boise State, and Missouri State. Will take some visits in June.
