What? I don't understand this conclusion. So there aren't many grad transfers that fit into our system, that's reasonable. But how do you know that the coaches are confident in what we have next season if they aren't satisfied with what's out there and aren't going to go out and get one now? All that's saying there is that they don't think what's left would have any utility for us, not that there's no need.
Shouldn't the fact that they were looking at grad transfers in the first place tell us that they weren't 100% confident in what we have now?

Side note: as a coach, I don't see how you can be satisfied when you finished 109th in DReb%, you're slated to be playing 6'4-6'6 guys at the 4 (again) unless you get Enaruna, your best defensive rebounder might turn pro, and your potential starter at center is coming off of injury.

Hope and pray Martin is coming back or we get TE. Both would be awesome. Neither would be inexcusable. Not getting a grad transfer could just mean they wiffed on their targets again like last year.

Sounds like Brady Heiman is transferring. Do we go after him?

I think we probably aren't interested now, but we were interested if he'd been willing to go to Prep School a year or take a Redshirt. Now he's redshirting no matter what (unless he goes down from D1 to lower level). I doubt that we still have that level of interest, but I'd guess Mac will check in with him at least to maintain good relations with the local kids.

and on cue Jays offer a 6-6 JuCo Wing from Kentucky Jayden Scrubb. He was a freshman last year at John Logan, not sure if he qualifies for 2019/20

This has to be one of the weirdest recruiting cycles ever.

If they were concerned about our PF depth, that a) martin was surely gone, or b) TE was surely heading to KU, then they'd be more aggressive in looking at a guys like Kavas, or Yeboah or Matt Ryan or the Drexel transfer. Right? The logic there makes sense that if in 19/20 we have only Bishop and Epperson taller than 6-7 on the roster, maybe we'd go after more front court depth with the 3 spot we had open. And sure maybe they don't want to scare off TE by grabbing another frontcourt grad transfer. but wouldn't you assume the staff would have been more active with one's still out there?

also they've never been directly linked to a frontcourt grad transfer this offseason. I'd heard they were looking at Kavas and Yeboah but nothing was ever solid. Pierece they made an inquiry along with the rest of America.

a) either they dont think having CB and JE as the only players > 6-7 is an issue
b) they did not assess that they only have two players > 6-7 on the roster
c) they are sure they are getting TE
d) they are sure that Tini is coming back

Good points all. Especially that you don't want to get a Kavas to commit before Enaruna if you're confident in getting Tristan who's no doubt a better player.

I don't think the staff is incompetent, even if I question some decisions, so I'd like to think that out of the 4 scenarios that they're somewhat positive about each of C and D separately and absolutely positive about the sum of both.

Out of all of these, D may be most likely
