Enaruna or bust?

what's plan B if we don't get Enaruna?

If hilltop is right, then Matej Kavas. 6'8 F from Seattle U that is a really good shooter. Eligible immediately as a grad transfer. I posted a longer write up about him a few pages ago.

We'd have a really good shot at him if Martin came back.

Or not. Just committed to Hoiberg and UNL. At this point it's Enaruna or maybe Matt Ryan OR 4 guard lineups (yuck).
Mac and the coaches have done a tremendous job this week but the market for the stretch 4 who can play immediately is so small that they're in a position where, barring some miraculous event like a late grad transfer or a really hidden gem frosh, it's basically Enaruna or we get to watch 6'8 forwards manhandle Ballock again going for rebounds. There's no room for error.

Are we or have we been on Chris Clarke?

I really like this strategy of locking in players now and not waiting to see what's left.

I doubt that we were considered by Kerry Blackshear of VT. That would have been a homerun.

We gotta be done with guards at this point.

Not yet if Mintz becomes a lottery pick.

western kentucky transfer Dalano Banton visited Nebraska over the weekend, and a visit to Creighton could be in his future...

With two or one scholarships left, assuming that Davion for sure returns and regardless of what Martin decides, I don't understand the interest here. We need a 4 that can play immediately, not one that has to sit for a season, and then a 5 if Martin leaves. Plus Banton says Harrell 2.0 all over - bad shooter from the perimeter and at the stripe and lack of a motor and defensive intensity.

First, a lot can happen during the off-season. We may lose a player between now and this fall and not necessarily someone we planned on playing this year.

Second, he's a long 6-6 guy (some list him at 6-8) with athleticism and some guard skills. We may not know enough about him based on the system he was in. If we take a look at him, can we fix the shot? Was the lack of motor a problem with the system he was in?

Third, never stop recruiting. We never know when people pop back up again as a Grad Transfer and he may be connected to other players we like -- he's from Toronto originally and it really looks like we've been making a priority to get out and recruit the Canadian kids.

Kavas, Yeboah, Milon are now off the board. Not many grad transfers currently out there that would fit our system, which to me tells me the staff feels pretty confident in what they have going into next season...
