No we lost 5 scholarship players from last year and brought in 5 for this season.

Out: Khyri, Marcus, Manny, Toby, Ronnie

In: Denzel, Connor, Samson, Marcus Z., Christian

Scurry had a scholarship last year since we had 1 open, but I am assuming that was just a "Hey, we have this thing laying around this year, we might as well give it to someone" type of deal and not a "Hey, congrats, you are now on scholarship permanently" situation.

Man, its too bad we lost Ronnie. But, in hind sight I am not too surprised. I would assume he was a lot closer to Marcus, Toby and Khyri than the younger guys. As much as they talked about unity, it would seem like there would be a bit of a gap between those 4 and the younger guys, particularly given that the only two seniors this year with Ronnie are transfers who are either brand new (Cashaw) or only here one year prior, and the younger guys are going to have been more likely to hang out together. Not saying I don't believe they all got along well, but still would be different I think being the "old guy" without those other three around. Anyway, I digress. I guess if we have just one freshman for next year, then we really do need to get another frosh in this class, IMO rather than a transfer. Otherwise, we are going to be really heavy in the 2020 and/or 2021 graduating classes.

A Bishop redshirt would help even up classes.

Not sure Jays are deep enough for that. Mac basically said this on 1620 afternoon show yesterday. Said Z and Sam are a sure thing for the rotation this year.

Really excited to have Shareef in the mix, but this class has turned a little disappointing. We once had a lot of big time targets for this class, and they have decided to go elsewhere or pursue different avenues (Harvey?). Is Enaruna the only guy we're still in on in 2019? We may have to hit the transfer market once again. The staff has a lot of work to do, and I wonder if the FBI stuff is causing them to want to keep a low-profile right now.

Since the staff went quiet, there has been no leaks of new targets and no new 2019 visits. Yet there have been 3-4 veiled references to a 2nd signing this fall period. Any ideas on the mystery signee? (Amazing what a pickup truck full of Big Broncos can do!)

related question? Will the staff rekindle interest in Steere (in spite of his dad)?

Any reports of recruits in attendance for the Zags game?

I don't know about 2019. Hunter Sallis was there, though.

What the hell is going on with recruiting? No posts on this thread for over a month, and very few elsewhere under recruiting. Are we just getting one player, Shereef? Seems we could use a badass rebounding defending low post scoring player.
