I haven't felt this great about justice since I saw Andy Dufresne driving along the Maine coastline in a GTO convertible.

Sadly his career isn't over. He will get his shot, though as an undrafted D League/Europe player.

I nonstop defended Bowen's right to take however long he needed to make his choice. Clearly I had no idea all this was happening. If true (and it appears true), he deserves whatever happens to him, including the scarlet letter that will forever follow him. And if I may make another comment - his family sucks. Bad.

my guess is forfeiture of any cash and any property purchased with the cash is likely (unless for some reason they don't pursue the cash if Bowen cooperates). Perhaps he was a plant being used by the feds to take down the addidas bag man.

I'd recommend checking out Mr. Riley's entire Twitter thread from this morning as he unpacked the indictment. It details lots more, including Tugs' family telling a U of L assistant that a "rival" apparel company was offering more so they needed to up their offer, offers of envelopes full of cash because U of L was on probation and needed to do this "on the down low", mafia-don type comments by U of L assistants regarding Pitino...it's amazing stuff.

Oregon came in lst minute and obviously is a nike school, was it a Oregon vs. Luoisville bidding war?

Another player going to Miami allegedly got $150,000. Bowen allegedly got $100,000. Underpaid?

Someone earlier above said this is the tip of the iceberg. Probably so. The feds have been investigating since 2015, so this will probably get much, much bigger.
General inclinations say "oh, so and so got paid", now we will get a glimpse at how widespread, how deep this goes. Wow.
