Last two posts dead on. He's stuck between a rock, a hard place, and reality. Zona had too many forwards, Sparty has too many forwards, Creighton is quickest to playing time, but not draft. Mac doesn't care your star status, you have to earn it...ie Kobe, Ronnie, etc. If the ones Bowen wants to leave at Sparty and Zona don't...That's how we are here.

Agree with the first half of the post, but it's all about talent. Yes, Kobe was a hyped "star" and Ronnie was rated highly, but neither guy was as talented coming out of HS.

Kobe: 3* #141 overall
Ronnie: 4* #82 overall
Tugs: 5* #15 overall

It is true Mac doesn't care about your star status i.e. Kobe, but it's all about talent. Tugs is far more talented than either of those guys coming out of HS. He's the highest recruit we've *potentially* ever had.

it is funny that two of the guys high up on the all time jays' list

ended up here because the coach was sleeping with the players' mom

If I recall correctly Cyril Baptiste was also more highly ranked but was no eligible to receive an athletic scholarship under then existing NCAA rules. I think he was top 10.

Bowen has averaged 21 shots per game in the tournament while going 14 of 42. There isn't a shot he doesn't like to take. Hopefully he can start making a few more shots after he signs with Creighton. Go LaLumiere

Good call on Baptiste. Paul Silas was also an All American out of the Cali Bay Area.

The tweet isn't showing up for some reason: "Brian Bowen says on ESPN he's still down to 5 schools (MSU, Zona, Texas, Creighton, NC State) and will "definitely" make decision in April."

No mention of DePaul seems significant
