Don't think the rankings make a difference in how he would be integrated into the rotation by the staff. Nor do I think the rankings provide a 100% accurate read on any immediate impact he would make

He's 6'7" and he won't play the 4 in the NBA. He may play the stretch 4 for us or he may play a wing or both. Muscle yes, weight maybe not.

Supreme offensive skills, so-so defensive skills. He will fit right in.

He will play a ton of minutes as a frosh if he lands here. Supreme offensive skills don't fall out of the sky into your lap too often.

Mac had no problem playing Khyri as a freshman. If Bowen is as good as advertised, he will play. If not, he won't.

Tugs update: http://www.scout.com/college/basketball/recruiting/story/1760319-best-availables-9-remain-in-2017-top-100

"Most thought that Brian Bowen's recruitment would be over by now, but the gifted five-star wing scorer has put his decision off a few times. Sources close to his recruitment are now saying he's looking at an April decision. Behind the scenes, I've thought Arizona has been in the drivers seat for some time, but he keeps pushing back his decision, which likely means he's unsure of what he wants to do."
Contenders: Arizona, Creighton, Michigan State and Texas

So far sources close to his recruitment have said he would announce by February, March, and now April. Eventually these sources have to be correct. My sources are telling me he will announce by the end of May.

By May 17, to be exact. If he doesn't sign by then, he can't sign until he actually enrolls somewhere.

I think its been alluded to before in this thread but perhaps there is internal disagreement within Brian's camp.

Even more reason why we need a BE tourney run or a trip to the 2nd weekend. If we can generate some noise and help get some of our guys as more household names, could have an impact on Tugs' decision. Helps when you can picture yourself making a tourney run with a team.

Also will be cheering against Zona and MSU for this years tourney :)

A BE tourney run, even a NCAA run usually does not influence the "late decision makers". It comes down to playing time and other factors.

A 5 star JR. SF just committed to Arizona. Doubt it means too much but definitely worth noting.
