Is Sully's the place to be for the St John's game tomorrow in Chi-town? Anyone else know where creighton fans might gather downtown to watch the conf. opener?

Anybody else in Philly? I thought I would go to Sto's or Buffalo Billiards.

As a side note to the mods, isn't it time to remove Davion and Kobe from the recruiting board?

I love watching all Jay Sports when they are televised. I really feel that Creighton needs to do something about the Jay. That bar openly lets underage kids in on a regular basis. A number of kids -many minors-- have gotten in a lot of trouble and even seriously injured after being intoxicated at that bar. I'm a double Creighton Alum and I have kids that are currently students there. The University should take some action here since the Jay is right on campus. There are a lot of great bars in Omaha to watch televised Blue Jay sporting events. The Jay should not be one of them

I don't condone underage drinking. However, i'm 99% sure that the Jay is not on campus. Thus, Creighton has nothing to do with enforcement of the laws of the state of Nebraska or the city of Omaha; that would be an Omaha Police issue. Have you raised a ruckus with them? If your accusations are proved true then the Omaha City Council can revoke their liquor license, accomplishing your goal.

Best of luck in your quest!!

The Jay is right on the edge of campus. I have made formal complaints to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission and the City Council. My point was that CREIGHTON atheletic supporters should not patronize the Jay. I also have personal knowledge that the University is fully aware of the problems there. The University has political power to do something.

People have been complaining about the Jay since time immemorial. If they serve underage kids, it's because they have a decent fake, just like any other bar. The only difference is the Jay is a dive next to campus, so more students go there regularly.

Was this you, Davey?

At least the Jay actually checks IDs. That's more than can be said for some other establishments.

Yeah, close it down. Those bast*ds took my perfectly good fake ID back in 1981, when all I wanted was a couple of beers after my last final freshman year. Guy that sold me his ID into which I pasted my picture forgot to mention that he had worked at the Jay the year before and they knew him  Oh well, got a good year of patronizing the Depot, the Wave and the Joker out of it.
