2017 Recruiting - Overview thread

Postby gtmoBlue » Mon Mar 21, 2016 7:28 pm

Thought we had a general recruiting thread for 2017. Searched 3 pages back - no luck.

General recruiting talk, questions, strategy, etc.

With the Jays beginning what appears to be one great class for 2017, coupled with a 2016 campaign with excellent prospects and promise - what a time to be a Hilltopper!

Never thought I would make this statement, never even dreamt it. Hell, I may have to increase "gtmo normal" to 30 or more W's/season?!

Who'd a thunk it?

We're down to 1 scholarship for 2017, right? Got a PG (transfer), 2 wings and a stretch 4. So targeting a big for the last scholarship?

I think we have 2 left. Joseph took Marlon's scholarship.

Still with 2 spots left (Mo Malik Cole IZ and Zach) one big man is a must. Really liking how the class after this year is shaping up with solid returning players and highly touted recruits/transfers. Should make for a nice transition year where we keep winning and set things up for an even stronger future

We will have Patton & Hunter Thompson for our two bigs. PF's include Hegner & Krampelj for the 2017 season. I don't know which category Thompson falls under (Center or PF). But I agree that another would be good.

I know that getting Joseph on board helps our chances out. Michigan St will be tough to beat
