I hope he is eliminating folks and not the other way around.

Watson declaring for the draft w/o an agent was a ploy by Coach Mac. His philosophy was to show Broome that a small point guard out of Creighton can get a look in the NBA. So Watson declared and it got Broome's attention like, "hey, if he can make the NBA out of Creighton, I can do the same."

That's my tinfoil hat conspiracy theory.

Along these same lines, I really think we could have landed Ben Simmons if only Will Artino would have declared as a junior.

Yeah, but then we wouldn't have made the NIT this year!

Bored so I looked at what other schools thought of Broome.

Cincy message board seems pretty high on him.

While someone on the UCONN board thinks Creighton is the favorite.

Now a top 2...

Jeff Borzello ‏@jeffborzello
Sacred Heart transfer Cane Broome is down to two schools, per sources: Creighton and Cincinnati.

FWIW @kobe, a reputable insider from another UConn board who is more often right than he is wrong, has said that Broome's family likes Creighton a lot, and this was before he announced his top 4.

Don't know why there's not more enthusiasm on this board for Broome. Look the NEC is definitely not the Big East and his turnover/3pt percentages may not be the greatest, but the kid can score. I would love to have him as part of the Jays and think of what he'll be able to learn in that year off from Mo, Malik, and Marcus. I'd also venture to say that the NEC is definitely a step up from JUCO. This kid can play and I hope he comes to Creighton because I think 2017-18 has the promise to be special just like 2016-17 with a few different faces.

Any word on when his visit is? I know it's this week, but what day?

This weekend. If he gets out of Cincy w/o committing, I would think we are the favorite.

I too would be excited if he committed. He'd be a good option for point guard come 2017-18. Be a Jay, Broome!
