Wasn't the problem with Foster his sophomore year at K-State was that he was forced to play PG? Let's keep Foster at the 2 guard, please.

Broome could be that starter in 2017-18. But dang, was he seriously negative in assist/TO ratio? That worries me.

I will cone out and say it.

Don't really want a score first undersized PG with turnover issues - and one who will be on scholarship for three years to get two years of production.

Pass.

Excellent points HDMD.

If we're gonna use a 2016 scholie - use it for a big who can play now - grad transfer/Juco. We've got Tremont/other PG coming in 2017 to compete with/ backup Davion...Javonte Smart in 2018. With the plethora of shooters on hand for 2017, a "pass 1st" PG is in order.

His game and role with Creighton would be much different than it was at Sacred Heart.

Important thing moving forward with recruiting is fill the roster with guys who play at a high level. In essence Cane would fulfill the roster spot they had reserved for Marlon for 4 years. In that regard it's a huge upgrade.

Secondly, I love the fact that Creighton continues to be active with transfers. Yes they 3 for 2 in terms of years played but that red shirt year allows them to mature physically and mentally and learn the system.

Whether it's Cane or someone else, I hope Jays grab a PG. I understand the shout for the big man but id rather the Jays get a player than some Juco stiff and believe me there are not many good available bigs, juco/hs/grad transfers

The coaches are interested so I'm good with that. That said, I too raise an eyebrow about a kid with more TO's than assists in the NEC.

I'm with HDMD.

I watched video of this kid and there's no chance he is bigger than 5'10, 160 lbs. I don't know how someone so small can guard at this level - and not to mention he is turnover prone and can't shoot a lick. We should be able to do better. I hate that we rely on the transfer market, but if we are going to do so, be patient, see what's out there and get the best available.

Must not be that bad if Michigan, Providence, Cincy, NC State, etc are some of the schools interested in him. I wouldn't question our own coaches eye for talent or some of these other coaches as well. Heck, Providence probably knows a lot about his game being in the same area and they are after him.

It's not all bad, though. He shot a decent percent while scoring at a high volume. He shot 54% on twos (!) last year. Even for the NEC that's a great percentage. Beyond that, he seems like the exact opposite type of player our coaches have tried to recruit in the past. He'd have to really improve his decision making with the ball. I feel that our coaches can read these guys very well, however. If they think Cane will commit to improving his shot selection and overall game, and they think he has the talent, I will trust their call

I have a good friend who says he is terrible. Of course, he also said Anthony Tolliver would never amount to anything.

Let's not pretend our coaches are infallible in their talent scouting - they brought in Leon and Marlon in back to back years and neither guy could play at this level.

I share the concerns with his size and turnover issues.
