How is he low risk? Just curious.

I just don't see a lot of down side to offer him. Like others have said I wish the staff would have gotten into the ring sooner. He has decent size, good length, and can shoot the basketball. At the very least, I would project him as a solid role player in a power conference. This all keeping in mind that he is only a sophomore

In the event that my post stating, "About time" is what Jaysker is referring to, I was just trying to indicate that I think we could have offered sooner, but it isn't at all like the kid has offers from everywhere and we are just now getting around to it. We were the first ones to offer for goodness sake. Hopefully, the results that happened the last time we were the first to offer an Omaha kid (Justin Patton) are repeated here.

Actually, that was my boss Mike Sautter, but we did indeed have it first. So it was nice seeing every other outlet RTing anybody but us. Anyway...

Not every other outlet! When I RT'd stuff from the WBR account yesterday I made sure it was those original tweets from NebraskaHSHoops that broke the story, Jacob. Disappointing if other outlets didn't do the same, but we gave credit where credit was due.

Regardless, great news -- hopefully the Jays can get a commit and keep the metro borders sealed up.
