Top 5s are all over FB for NBA and now college teams. Can someone tech savvy do a photo shop top five for the Jays? I propose Doug, Kalk, Paul Silas, Kyle, and . . . who? Nominations, please.

Hmmm. I’d go with Rodney Buford, Bob Harstad, Dmd, Kalk, & Silas.
PGs: Sears, Mo Watson, Tyler McKinney, Marcus Z., Eccker.
SG: John C., Marcus Foster, P’Allen Stinnett, Stovall, Mitch, Ty-Shon, Bob Scrutchens.
According to the media guide (scoring): Dmd, Kalk, Buford, Harstad, & Chad Gallagher.
Rebounding: Silas, Kalk, Harstad, DMD, Benjamin.

gtmo, you must have suffered a brain fart to leave Kyle Korver off your list. Kyle was a two time MVC MVP and was a consensus 2nd team AA his senior year. He played in the NBA from 2003-2020, scoring over 11,000 points. He led the league in 3 point percentage a record 4 times and holds the record for the single season 3 point percentage. He was an NBA All Star in 2015. He was far more decorated in college and the pros than Rodney or Harstad. Arguments can be made for or against the other 3 on your list but, in my opinion, Kyle should be on anyone's list for the top 5

Yeah, I agree with Gtmo's list once you replace Harstad with Korver.

He was before my time but I believe Bob Portman deserves a mention. He averaged 29.5 points for a season - the school record. He has the single game record of 51 points. He was the number 7 pick in the NBA draft. He held the school scoring record for 22 years despite playing only 3 years and without a 3 point line.
Check me on this, but I believe that Benoit was the only higher NBA draft pick.

Any list like this that doesn't include Bob Portman isn't serious. Portman was a unicorn. Portman, Silas, Dougie and Kyle are the Mt. Rushmore of Creighton basketball. (Kalk and Harstad can slug it out for a 5th spot). The Gold Standard. A Creighton Top 5 list without Bob Portman is just silly.

I know he only played one season for the Harlem Globetrotters, but I would put Bob Gibson on the list. With his athleticism, he would have thrived as a professional basketball player, I think.

He still had a nice little career in the MLB though
