Tom, thanks as always for great work

I believe the NBA deadline for early entrants to withdraw is 6/16. However, the NCAA deadline is 5/29 to withdraw. So, I think the important date is 5/29.

Please confirm or help me understand why that’s wrong.

Correction: 32 hours left

I am not worried about Kalk here. Just throwing out from what I understand, players have until 11:59PM on May 1st to notify their school's compliance office of their intent to transfer. The compliance office then has 48 hours to actually enter them into the portal so there will be some names trickling in on the 2nd and 3rd still.

No, you’re right. I messed that up; I was using the NBA’s timeline. It’s May 29.

Good point. Thanks for the additional detail.

Midnight tomorrow can’t come fast enough for me.

Ryan is pulling out pretty quickly if he doesn’t get invited to the combine, right? What’s the point in staying in if he doesn’t get invited?

195 entrants (actually likely more as some had paperwork snafu so didn’t show on the list like Hunter Sallis). Plenty who thinks they’ll get an invite won’t. Don’t particularly think Kalk is left out but it isn’t a 100% lock.

Fred coming back has nothing to do with Ryan Kalkbrenner’s decision. It was only reported yesterday that he was maintaining his eligibility. I doubt that changed in 24 hours.

I disagree… I think King found out NIL opportunities at levels where he could play big minutes weren’t that great compared to what a bench role at Creighton pays. And Creighton was unable to find an upgrade over King who would accept a backup role with Kalk likely returning.
