3 months (arguably the most important period of the year) left in the season and we wouldn't? There's a solid chance he is gone next year, so yeah, I think they will do whatever they can to work him in. The way things are going, might as well throw him in the 2 for 20ish mpg and have him at the 3 when Jamiya is out.

Why wouldn’t it?

Rotation and roles established. Lots of guys vying for playing time. Just asking the question really.

Count me among the contingent of people who would urge Mac to find a role for the NBA prospect player described by some as arguably the most talented offensive weapon on the team.

We've seen some YouTube clips and read a lot of hype, but how does that translate to Mac's system? I am curious what Jacob or someone who has been at practice thinks about how he could fit into the rotation. In Mac we trust. If Fedor can is ruled eligible and can help, he'll be on the floor. Mac isn't going to hold anything back during Kalk's final year.

Can he play the 3 so Green can go back to the 4?
At Creighton Bob Gibson majored in sociology and starred in Basketball and Baseball. In 1957 Gibson received a $3,000 sign-on bonus with St. Louis Cardinals, but delayed his HOF Cards career a year to play pro B-ball with the Harlem Globetrotters.

Gotta think he’ll play a ton at the 3. If he comes in, could see PT like:
1/2
Ash (30), Pop(30), Ty(5)
2/3
Neal(25), Fedor(20)
3/4
Miller(10), Green(10), Jackson(10)
4/5
Traudt(20)
5
Kalk(30)
King(10)

Think with bottom 6 teams in the BE we’ll go 11 deep, but shrink it to 9 with everyone else. Could also see Ty’s min diminishing and one of that 3/4 group dropping off.

If the rumors are true, Zugic will be the best player on the team not named Kalkbrenner. (No disrespect for our other really good players). It might take a few games to get in the flow but after a few games he will be playing 30 minutes.

We need his height/length. If something happens to Neal, we are really short.

I think initially that rotation might be about right. I am really curious what happens with Mason... kind of a waste of season to play 5-10 minutes per game as a junior. I wonder if he'll take a medical redshirt. There also may be times where we go small and play Ash, Pop, Fedor and Neal with Kalk.

I think this is how it would go against mid tier Big East teams

1 - Ash 32 mpg - Davis 8 mpg
2 - Pop 32 mpg - Fedor 8 mpg
3 - Neal 20 mpg - Fedor 20 mpg
4 - McAndrew 15 mpg - Traudt 13 mpg - Green 8 mpg - Neal 4 mpg
5 - Kalk 32 mpg King 8mpg

Here is how it goes again top level Big East teams
1 - Ash 35 mpg - Pop 5 mpg
2 - Pop 30 mpg - Fedor 10 mpg
3 - Neal 20 mpg - Fedor 20 mpg
4 - McAndrew 13 mpg - Traudt 12 mpg - Green 8 mpg - Neal 7 mpg
5 - Kalk 36 mpg - King/Traudt 4 mpg

Playing that many guys isn’t reflective of how Mac usually does things.

You have to figure with this being the last Kalk year and likely the only Fedor year that he’s going pedal to the medal when it comes to results, right?

My prediction is this: Zugic gets the green light and there are going to be some surprising DNPs coming up. And not just Knox and Thomas either, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Miller out there in garbage time only, or when we need a 3 late. Davis and Green fit into this unsteady slot too, and Traudt taking all of King’s minutes is absolutely on the table as well.

I say DNP, but to me a random 90 second appearance is about the same thing.

The PT will be going to those who bring the most to the table at that point in time.
