Marquette is 11-4 vs quad 1 and 2 and their NET rating is 18th. There are only 4 teams with more than 11 wins in those quads.
The Big East gets no love, even after winning 4 national title in recent years.
The Jays NET rating also appears to be too low, mostly by the beating from Georgetown.

Marquette vs St John’s has to be such a difficult game to officiate. Just foul until they stop calling it basketball.

St. John's misses 14 free throws, hits 18% from 3, yet still beats Marquette by 6 because they get 21 :!: offensive boards.

4 of MU's starters had 4 fouls & then Joplin picks up his fifth. A lot of bodies flying around

Bummer. Was kind of hoping Marquette would get that one so that they wouldn't be coming into Omaha on a losing skid that they will be extra motivated to snap and so that if the Jays take care of business tonight that game Saturday could have been for first place.

Keep that focus, fellas.

St. John's still has a gauntlet of a schedule remaining. Just win.

It's a heavy lift, but win the next four this week and next and we're no worse than tied for first owning the tiebreak for the #1 seed...and heavily favored in all but one of our remaining 5 games.

As you said...just win.

They do. But on the other hand, at Providence, Marquette, UConn, at St Johns all in a row (coming off X and at Nova last week) is a bit of a gauntlet of its own.

Cooley, losing his cool. I guess he's not used to losing. I had turned the channel already, but it looks like he initiated most of the incident. Funny smile by the usher at the end. I am sure Ed will use this as a us against the world boys
