Butler just ran out of gas. They had the lead with Kam Jones on bench with 4 fouls for most of second half. Butler just not deep enough to get it done.

Fenway Brushback needed to step up his game, but he was just average. Butler will have no chance if they don’t get more from Fernley Blackjack.

I wonder how long Matta’s leash will be. I suspect it’s pretty long as he is a big name coach at a little school. However, if they continue to be below average and non-competitive in the NIL game (supposition by me, they may have plenty for all I know) the wolves are bound to howl at some point.

For what it is worth, they have signed a pretty good class for 2025; the highest rated class ever at Butler.

Stop screwing up his name… Its Fanny Jizback
At Creighton Bob Gibson majored in sociology and starred in Basketball and Baseball. In 1957 Gibson received a $3,000 sign-on bonus with St. Louis Cardinals, but delayed his HOF Cards career a year to play pro B-ball with the Harlem Globetrotters.

The Bisjack schtick is old but it’s still funny.

Top 4 (St. John’s, Marquette, Creighton and UConn) in the Big East remaining schedule includes:

Creighton 3 games left vs top 4
Marquette 5 games left vs top 4
UConn 5 games left vs top 4
St. John’s 5 games left vs top 4

UConn up 13 on Marquette right now. Going to be an interesting stretch run.

The Big East has cleared the calendar for tomorrow's Seton Hall @ DePaul Groundhog Day Special. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if DeP students are camping out overnight for the best seats.

The irregardless force against the inanimate object.

That said, I enjoy watching the Demons play.
