So here's what we have so far for the 2013-14 schedule.

As of 3/13 looking for a Guarantee game
Thanksgiving week 3- @Anaheim (DirecTV) Classic (Marquette, San Diego St., Arizona St., Miami, George Washington, Charleston, Cal State-Fullerton)
Potential 4th game Home or Away as part of DirecTV Classic
@ St. Joseph's
Tulsa
California
Alcorn State
@ Long Beach State ('12 BB Return)
Nebraska
St. Mary's ('13 BB Return)

The other future Creighton schedules and the other Big East non-conference schedules so far are here:

http://whiteandbluereview.com/?page_id=293#bigeast

And yes for now farther down on that page are the MVC non-conference schedules that I am still compiling for the fun of it.

What's this 4th game as part of the DirectTV classic? Is it gonna be similar to the buy games that was part of the Las Vegas Invitational last year? I would think Creighton would like to schedule LBSU right before or after the DirectTV classic to save from flying back to California again. Before would be awesome, I plan on being down there the whole week of Thanksgiving and seeing another game would be cherry on top. Long Beach is like 15 minutes from Anaheim with no traffic.

With the Big East conference games, that is a pretty salty schedule.

The rules are such that MTE/Exempts can have 4 games as a part of the tournament. Since the bracketed games are only 3 games for each team, an optional 4th game can be scheduled between the schools participating if they can agree to something. The game has to be played within a certain period of when the event happens. I think it is a 10-14 day window between when the Anaheim Classic starts or something.

In the case with Drake last season, they got St. Mary's to come to Des Moines to play them and it counted as a "4th" game of the DirecTV Classic. I think to make things happen they agreed to make it a home/home and Drake is going out there this upcoming season. A few other schools have taken advantage of this too, but it doesn't always happen with the bracketed games.

At one of the assist luncheons, Mac said that we are playing LBSU on either the Tuesday or Weds (I can't remember which day now) after the Anaheim tourney. He was suggesting that people making the trip try to stay over for the extra game...

After? That sucks, if I want to sandwich my vacation between weekends, I'd have to take two additional days off, not sure if the wifey will let me do it...

Just an FYI.. Marquette and Arizona State are going to exercise their right to a 4th game in the Anaheim Classic. They are going to play each other in Tempe around the time of the Anaheim Classic tournament and also to help with Marquette's travel plans.

I say Creighton sees if Miami will come and play a the CLink. They will be in Lincoln on December 4th for the Big 10/ACC Challenge game. They should just stay in town for an extra few days and play in Omaha on like the 7th or something. It is a "free" game for both teams. Might as well take advantage of it. It would still be in that 14-day window that is allowed so it can be part of the Anaheim deal.

Probably won't happen, but if I was scheduling, I would try to get that game scheduled. I'm sure it just takes Mac to make a phone call to Jim Larranaga to make it happen. At least that is what someone at the OWH said once.

Interesting that Marquette and Ariz. St. would schedule a 4th game while not knowing the seeding of the Anahem Tourney. They could wind up playing twice. Marquette's coaching staff scheduling proactively to support their travel plan and getting acclimated early for the tourney.

Not sure that Coach Larranega wants to play the CU anymore - he's taken too many losses against the Jays.
