Yeah, I mean, six games is 20% of the regular season. The sample size is small but it's not that small in the scheme of things. As I wrote in the Morning After, the numbers are bad.

Through six games these are their numbers on what Synergy classifies as "unguarded" threes:

UTRGV: 3-7
FDU: 6-12
HCU: 3-14
KC: 2-11
UNL: 4-22
SDSU: 1-10

19-of-76, or 25%.

The ones where a defender contests?

UTRGV: 4-16
FDU: 4-21
HCU: 4-7
KC: 9-23
UNL: 8-20
SDSU: 5-21

34-of-108, or 31.8%.

So maybe there is something to the confidence part of this -- maybe they're overthinking things when they're wide open. But 32% isn't great either, it's just less bad.

The first point is cherry picking, yes we don’t have an outright BE title but we have a shared one where it resulted in us being the number 1 seed in the conference tourney

If you went to the Finneran Pavilion, Prudential Center, and CHI Health Center, you would see banners with "2020 Big East Regular Season Champions." Seeding doesn't matter. Hell, the tournament didn't even happen. You can argue that there should be a tiebreaker system to determine an outright champion, but there wasn't and still isn't one. These are valid criticisms of a program with the potential to do so much more than it has.

AngryDan, we could all use a little Ted Lasso right now. Thanks.

As to bourbon v scotch, I’ll vote for gin. Less of a hangover for clear alcohol.

The really bad news is that it gets harder to drink without consequences as you get older.

+1!

Some forget or weren’t around to truly appreciate what we have and what we’ve came from. Doesn’t make some losses sting less, but provides perspective.

Go Jays.

They have been in the Big East for years. If this were 2016, I would see your point.

And our resume is demonstrably better than Xavier and Butler who have been in the Big East the same number of years. And to anyone with more than a teenager's concept of time, it hasn't been that many years since this program was a mid-major. There is an old phrase from this board's earlier days: You should read more and post less.
