Agreed. I think they have the talent. Was hoping they would pull it off.

Stevie Mitchell hacks people on so many possessions and no call. The latest hack he perhaps fractured his wrist (?). That would be interesting.

Edit: doesn’t look that bad.

They kicked our ass the first time we played them. If the coaches and team aren’t ready we have big issues.

Luis injured against DePaul. How come folks are rarely injured against the Jays?

Injuries generally come with physical play. We play defense not to foul.

He wasn't injured *in* the game, though, was he? I think he didn't play against DePaul because of an injury.

I think at least part of the answer to the question is this -- can you afford to rest someone with a bit of a knock to avoid a bigger issue against DePaul? Probably, with the rest of St. John's roster. Can you afford to do the same thing against Creighton? Probably not -- as evidenced by how that game went. Players don't miss games against us with borderline injuries in part because the risk/benefit analysis is vastly different than against the DePauls of the conference. It's a calculated gamble in some instances.

Correct. He had a tweaked groin before the Depaul game. It didn't happen while playing them. They decided to rest him.

Mad Dog Russo had Danny Hurley on his show. He is full of himself, but I still found myself liking him. He said he only has one T this year. He has a combination memoir and motivational book coming out soon. Hope they can beat Pitino and company on Sunday.
