Just watched MN and BW and Dotzler was the 3rd best, if not best player on the floor. 6'2 sophomore with an excellent handle and a lights out shooter - good god sign this kid up now, hope we are involved. Good family genes also :D

According to Robin Washut the nebraska writer, Creighton is his dream school. 2023 looks like it'll be a year we recruit the pg position heavily so Dotzler will be one to watch

Just a random muse and no indication of how good or not good he is...

We're in the highly desirable spot that we're recruiting top 10 players at their position these days.

There are kids like jasenn green and st thomas that really aren't on our radar screen, but good players we would have been happy to have 5-7 years ago.

Super happy we have shereef right now...local kid, likely going to be here 4 years, is a fantastic backup pg and loves the program and community.

It's a fine line to walk with so few scholarships every year. You want an Omaha presence so that you can get the top kids when they grow up in your backyard, but you can't take many that are on the fringe.

We've starting to get new money blueblood problems...and it's fun.

Hopefully, Josiah is good enough to make the cut as I would love to see another dotzler in the program.

Dotzler is a Legacy recruit. +1
He's a budding good to great Local kid. +2
He's a Bellevue West PG. +3

Let's get him!

These are the type of kids that we should be going out "in the weeds" for, if needed. LOCAL Omaha,
Local area, and bi-state (Neb/IA) kids. THESE are the kids in the 250+ to "never heard of" that we
should be putting stock in - rather than running all over the country. There are more than enough
"local" unknown kids who can use that 1 Jays scholie, every year or two.

Our '22 Class is good- 4* Shtolzberg and high 3* Green (local).
If CU is going to take a calculated risk "in the weeds", doing so with a local or Neb/Ia regional kid is preferred.

Spent the day at the state tournament, was really impressed by Dotzler. Smart, quick, able to get to the basket and finish tough shots. I've watched a lot of the Ben Shtolzberg vids, and they're pretty similar. Dotzler isn't the same caliber of shooter, but he's good.

Also got to watch Jasen again. Man, we're lucky to get him. Just a smooth, smart player, pretty bouncy. He reminded me of Christian, though their games are a bit different. He's not slotted to play 5 at CU, but he could play the CB version of that position.

What's his shooting range like?

The Mill No--Gretna semi is scheduled for broadcast on NCN (Cox 116) tomorrow, Thursday, at 6 PM. The final (maybe MN--Bell West?) is set for Saturday @ 6 PM on NET (Cox 12).

His stroke looks OK on 3s and he takes them regularly, but I don't think he's a great outside shooter at this point. Judging great shooters is beyond my pay grade.
