2020 G DJ Carton (Marquette Commit)

Postby hilltopalum » Tue Mar 24, 2020 9:09 pm

Let's make it official. Carton is a big time target for the Jays. We can discuss his re-recruitment here.

Things seem to be heating up on several fronts. Hope things go the way the Staff wants. Go Jays!

Lots of folks think he will head nearer to home at Iowa. Would be a tremendous addition to CU though.

Iowa has quite the difficult scholarship situation right now.

Iowa has so many players on scholarship it's ridiculous. However, they also have a ton of flexibility since BOTH of McCaffrey's sons are on scholarship, so he could simply pay for both their way and get 2 extra players. That being said, I think he fits really well into our offense. I'd say he's Iowa's to lose at this point, but Mac has a great offense to work in and a good track record with transfers.

Probably could find this somewhere, but is he going to be immediately eligible or sit a year?

Sit a year unless he gets a waiver.

There is no reported interest from Iowa.

I hope we get a Carton update soon. It'd be great to be in the mix with Ty-Shon headed fro the draft now.
