It's been confirmed that he is transferring from Kansas. Big time shooter, and a very good overall player who was highly recruited out of HS. There was a rumor a while back (late Spring early Summer) that he was transferring from Kansas to Creighton. That got shot down after he said he wasn't going to transfer. Now it's been confirmed that he is. He seems like the ideal fit for our system.

Yes, he can play point. He was the backup point for Kansas last season.

Do we need another point with Mo Watson and Marlon Stewart? It doesn't seem like a position of immediate need.

Depth. Can't expect Stewart to be ready to compete day 1

He can capably play shooting guard. He was a consensus top-50 recruit out of HS. I'm sure we'd find a way to use him.

If you have Huff, LGIII, and Harrell (all 6'7 or taller) at the other SG/SF position, you can get away with a smaller 2-guard.

except that we'd be pretty shrimpy with CF and Wop on the court at the same time was what i was thinking (on D).

EDIT - and for the record i'm not against CF at all. just was thinking about the defensive side with watson at point if conner was playing the two.

this is kind of a nice little "door closes window opens" deal right after losing out on clarke. shows that there are gonna be some really good transfer candidates out there - and we're a great place for 1-2 of those kids. i also think that those kind of guys don't fall victim to a lot of the glitz of recruiting - they know what they want.

I'll think if we get this transfer. Stewart could redshirt. However playing time at point would still be there Watson will have 1 year under belt. Frankamp is a 2/1 it would be a nice get

FWIW, Piv essentially confirmed that CU is interested. Said, "would assume that Conner will at least be getting a phone call from Creighton".
