Jays looking into Iowa Barnstormers dynamic guard Spencer Haldeman. Spencer might not look like a complete basketball player but he is. He played his way onto multiple all-tournament teams this last summer, and caught the eye of many coaches from around the midwest. Haldeman ran the point for the Barnstormers, yet has great range and can fill it up fast.

It probably doesn't get mentioned enough, but as always Hilltop, excellent job keeping us message board wankers updated.

Spencer averaging 9.1ppg - 3.4rpg - 3.8apg - 1.8spg. One of top Sophomore's in Iowa for sure. Would guess Drake, UNI and Iowa are on pretty hard.

Now 6'1''

Haldeman first got my attention by showing a tremendous amount of activity at the start of the Barnstormers 8 a.m. game. That activity eventually turned into points and other stats as Haldeman seemed to have a hand in most plays while he was on the floor. A tough guard that isn’t afraid of contact, Haldeman finished at the rim and also spaced the floor to let his big men operate on the interior.

Loved the way Haldeman played early in a Barnstormers win. The sophomore guard consistently knocked down perimeter shots, including 4 three-pointers, penetrated the lane with strong and quick moves, and got deflections defensively that led to transition points for himself or teammates. Haldeman wound up with 26 points, helping the Barnstormers to a big Day 2 victory.
