Big Time Chelsea Solar starting Goalkeeper visiting Creighton this coming week. Shams was first team all state in Texas this last fall! Would be a huge pick up for the staff.

Only Issue: This team is LOADED with Goalkeepers.

Shams is starting GK for Solar Chelsea who is competing in the club soccer equivalent of the Elite 8 this week.

Goalkeeper Oshick Shams made three saves for the clean sheet, all of them coming in the first 45 minutes. Two of Shams’ stops came against Baltimore’s Yaw Amankwa. In the 12th minute, Amankwa worked his way into a one-on-one situation against Shams, but the Solar Chelsea SC goalkeeper blocked the shot for the game’s first save. In stoppage time of the first half, Shams parried the ball away against Amankwa to maintain the two-goal lead. In the 32nd minute, Shams dove to his right to stop a shot from Baltimore Bays Chelsea’s Mike Gamble.

Any word on if any of the other keepers have left or were thinking about leaving when we got him?

There will be a log jam at keeper. Gal-Reeves-Bolowich would all probably start at any other Valley school. I think Gal is the clear #1. Shams will likely RS but with Omaha native Michael Kluver (Skutt All State GK) coming into the fold as a verbal 2013 recruit, we have an embarrassment of riches to say the least!!
