2014 MSoc Ricardo Lopez-Espin (Verbal Commit)

Position: Forward

Ranking:
**** (4-Star) #94 in class of 2014

School: Shattuck-St. Mary's

Hometown: Miami, Florida

Breakdown: Playing up 2 years (16 year old in U18 league) in 2011-2012 Ricardo led SSM (#1 ranked team in Frontier USSDA) with 9 goals in 22 matches. This year, Lopez-Espin is penned into the SSM starting lineup as a target forward. Lopez-Espin is a great student and already looking into Colleges. Besides Creighton his admirers are a who's who of College soccer with UCONN, Georgetown, Louisville, SMU, NC State and Penn State interested in Ricardo's services. Creighton has had lots of success recruiting from Shattuck-St. Mary's with current Jays Jake Brown and Christian Blandon are alums. Former Jay Tim Bohnenkamp is also an assistant coach for SSM.

Thanks for the updates. Hopefully Ricardo likes creighton's rich soccer history and success and decides to be a JAY.

I think he is a must get if he likes us. Former Jays as alums and a former Jay as an assistant coach. Should be automatic.

Despite Lopez-Espin just turning 17 few days ago he was named as one of the top U18 Academy players for the first half of the season.
