Oh shit.

Do you have some insight on this?

He’s an undersized, underclassman guard from a low major. With two of our point guards leaving in the last week and a scholarship opening, this seems like an attempt to upgrade to the bench as he transitions to a power conference.

Maybe it’s just wishful thinking on my part that R2 is the closest to a lock from our core to come back. But it seems odd that Reef and Shtolzberg would transfer if there was the possibility of the starting PG spot opening next year.

Of the starting 5 R2 has the least draft buzz. If he leaves it'd be a transfer and I'm pretty sure his visa status bars him from receiving NIL.

I’d suggest that it may be a fools errand to use the decisions of bench players as some sort of indication as to what a starter may be thinking. They may have an opportunity someplace that would quickly fade if they don’t jump immediately. Or maybe they just don’t want to wait to see if a starter is going to the NBA, leave, etc.

It may just be me, but I prefer the “something fishy this weekend” mysterious type riddle versus this haha

I think posting in riddles in general is stupid. If you don't have anything substantial to say, don't say anything at all.

All good points, and the players certainly have a lot more factors to navigate than even a few years ago. But as a message board where people share thoughts and rumors to collectively gain some behind the scenes insight, I’m here for it. Only 7 more months of fools errands until we can cheer on our Jays again

Portal hit 1300 out of D1s today. Over 2000 including D2s.

What was the final number last year?

In 2022, 1,649 men's Division I basketball players were entered into the Transfer Portal, a slight decrease from 2021 (1,687). Eighty-four percent of these student-athletes were on athletics aid at their departing school.
