That's correct. But I recall it being quite a few days after the visit. Could be wrong though.

My recollection of last year's guys:

Harrell and Watson: immediately after/during visit
Gilmore: maybe about a month after his visit, and after he visited Texas Tech and Houston
Huff: a week after his visit, and after he visited Iowa
Kreklow: a couple weeks after his visit, and I'm not sure if he made other visits after CU

speaking of kreklow - has he graduated, yet?

i know that was holding up a few things for him this summer - NCAA legalities and all of that...

In last week's chat, I think PIv said he is done and doing individual workouts now and whatever small group stuff they are allowed.

From the outside looking in, it appears that McQuaid committed to SMU in haste. This time around, he's exploring all of his options and not rushing into anything. I don't know exactly what happened when he de-committed from SMU, but he obviously learned something from that experience. I don't take anything away from the fact that he didn't commit to CU this weekend. He's simply going through the process in a systematic way this time around. He appears to be a very high character guy who is looking at all options. I am glad that we are in the running for players like this.

By all accounts McQuaid is the perfect fit for CU and my gut feel is that we will receive a commitment in the near future. At the same time, we should be surprised that he is going to take all of his allowed visitss.

I will be surprised.

Both UT & Mich st are loading up with similar wings. Matt will just be another number of the many players on the team - neither team plays to his style of play, especially the gizzo "cloud of dust /1st to 55 wins" Mich st teams.

Creighton is his Best Fit. Be a Bluejay, Matt. ;).

Earlier, BB alluded to the Jays status deficit as compared to the "elite" schools. Well said BB. However, given our perceived lesser status, it is therefore imperative that the staff gives no quarter in the recruiting wars. Now is the time to dig deep within, gird up the pads n armor, and play hardball. Concede nothing to the so-called elite. If McQuaid is a top priority recruit - and he IS...close the sale - Get him!

UCLA at TEXAS, a night game. it will be crazy fun this weekend, Well, until UCLA wins. Should be a bucket load of football recruits there too. Football (and the players) is king.

Game's in Arlington, not Austin.

To what Hunter wisely said, I think McQuaid always said that he was going to take all of his visits and was going to CU, UT, and MSU this month. Doesn't mean that those of us sitting at work and home want to be patient or that Creighton's odds, though good, do anything other than decrease a bit with each week.

I'm assuming that at least Mac and Lutz will be in suburban Dallas this week to see McQuaid before he makes the trip to Austin, which is infinitely nicer than East Lansing.
