LOL...of course he does.

If he stays home my money would go on CU, if he wants a blue blood, UNC.

His exact wording was “I still think it'll come down to Nebraska and Virginia with Oklahoma being a potential darkhorse.”

I wouldn’t be shocked if that guy just doesn’t want to acknowledge that Creighton exists.

Traudt isnt gonna decide until fall or winter so whatever he says is worthless in June.

Here is a short clip article from Zagsblog from late January 2021, and I did not edit in any way. CU was first to recruit and first visit, and I like how he said Jays play and seems to want that style of play:

Isaac Traudt, the 6-foot-9, 205-pound power forward from Grand Island (NE) Senior High School, says that Creighton, Nebraska, Missouri, Louisville, Oklahoma and Virginia are making him a priority.
He broke down each school for ZAGSBLOG Wednesday:
Creighton: “They were really the first school to recruit me and they are also the only school I’ve had to the chance to visit. I’m really close with coach [Greg] McDermott and coach [Paul] Lusk. I love the way they play and share the ball.”
Nebraska: “Coach [Fred] Hoiberg started recruiting me pretty early and says that I could come in and make an impact right away. I’ve developed a good relationship with him.”
Missouri: “I talk to everyone on the coaching staff and they have a really good culture. They are having a great year and it’s been fun to watch.”
Louisville: “I’ve developed a good relationship with coach [Chris] Mack and coach [Luke] Murray. Their program is a historic one and have had great success with wings like myself.”
Oklahoma: “I grew up watching them quite a bit. Especially when they had guys like Buddy Hield and Trae Young. I talk to coach [Lon] Kruger frequently and I love how he gives his guys freedom.”
Virginia: “They’ve been recruiting me hard recently. They offered me last week and I’ve developed really good relationships with coach [Tony] Bennett and coach [Kyle] Getter. They tell me I’m similar to how they use Sam Hauser. I love how they make defense a priority.”
Traudt recently completed virtual visits with Virginia and Marquette.
Ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 11 power forward and No. 58 overall prospect in the Class of 2022, Traudt says he’s looking to improve his ability to be dynamic with the ball off the bounce.
Traudt says he’s thought about cutting his list, ‘maybe in the summer’.
“I don’t know if it’ll happen or not,” he said. “I’m a long ways away from committing.”

I think the reality with Traudt and most Top 100 recruits is that things can and will change with them.

The fact we got in early with him and he got to see us win the BE Championship is in our favor.

However, Hoiberg is a relatively proven coach at a bad basketball school and at some point he'll have some success there.

Add in the blue bloods vs the home state (Creighton or NU) dynamic and it'll be a dog fight to get him.

Regardless, I have confidence that with the coaching, relationships and recruiters we have that we'll get some great players for next years class with or without Traudt.

But...nothing would make me happier than to have him become a Jay and break the hearts in Lincoln.

Go Jays!

Update on Traudt. Nothing major, decision before senior season?

Someone in his inner circle told me his top 3 right now. Not telling with respect to Isaac but Jays are in it.

Totally understand if you don’t feel comfortable sharing but did they mention the other two by chance?

Blink twice if Nebraska isn’t in his Top 3

Good to hear. And respect that you don't want to steal his moment. So without disclosing anything, can you tell us if any other school within a 100 mile radius of Omaha is in his top 3?
