Staff and players did an excellent job this weekend with him. Heard he and Patton were excellent when they scrimmaged with team, a few players told me he is a 'perfect fit for our system'

Great to hear. Still pretty nervous with Michigan State waiting. Are you still optimistic?

Yeah, I'm worried about Michigan State. With Milon off the table, I'm fearful we don't have a top SG for this class if we don't get McQuaid.

That's probably the case regarding SG's for 2015. On the other hand, if McQuaid commits to the Jays, this class will be in exceptional shape. So while a few targets have gone elsewhere, our top priority is still an option, which is the silver lining.

Jays26, I'm not sure there is a RIGHT way to take your posting.

Much respect to Izzo and that program. With the addition of Eron Harris, who is awesome, as a transfer with two years to play starting in 2015-2016, and the early commitment of top 150 2015 SG Kyle Ahrens, that team is already loaded at the 2, with plenty at the 1 and 3, as well. Plus, they're still in on Eric Davis, a top 50 2015 combo guard. Was hoping they'd land Brunson, though, to further overload things. Whatever else happens in the 2015 class, the difference between his role as a Freshman and Sophomore at CU and at MSU is stark. But, I'll never fault a high schooler who chooses one of the true CBB powers over Creighton. I'm hoping that does not happen here.

I think Kerwin Roach will commit to Texas, and thus knock those guys out of the running.

Not quite sure where IU, LSU or anyone else fits into the picture, as available scholarships and respective school interest do not remotely match what is the case for CU with McQuaid.

EDIT:
Now that McQuaid's scheduled to visit UT this weekend, I think they're as much of a threat as, if not more than, MSU. Can't believe that both Roach and McQuaid would commit to UT, but McQuaid could beat Roach or Roach might choose someone else.

Can someone remind me, I don't recall whether or not Gilmore or Harrell committed on their visits to Omaha? I don't believe they did on their visits and I think they took other visits after us.
Hence, we shouldn't worry about McQuaid wanting to explore all of his options. If we provide the most to him after his other visits, he'll commit.

Neither Harrell or Gilmore committed during their visit. I'm not sure whether they took additional visits after or not, but the commitments came a bit after their CU visit.

Harrell committed after his visit, no? He had a K State visit on tap that he cancelled.

That's correct. But I recall it being quite a few days after the visit. Could be wrong though.
