Out for the year with a torn ACL. Huge bummer, was excited to see him play.

My heart goes out to you Rati. I was looking forward to seeing you this year. Rehab that knee and come back stronger than ever next year.

Anybody else see the feature piece WOWT did tonight on Rati? Incredibly impressive. I had never heard the young man speak and just assumed he had an Eastern European or Russian accent. Nope. Bad move to assume. More like a Midwestern accent. Great personality. Fascinating backstory. Speaks four languages. If he can bring the game to match, he could end up being a Creighton fan favorite.

Nyatawa had a nice piece yesterday and he talked a lot and he’s got a strong accent and a great personality.
At Creighton Bob Gibson majored in sociology and starred in Basketball and Baseball. In 1957 Gibson received a $3,000 sign-on bonus with St. Louis Cardinals, but delayed his HOF Cards career a year to play pro B-ball with the Harlem Globetrotters.
