Conner Frankamp (Kansas Transfer, Wichita State Commit)

From the bottom of piv's article today on the battle at center:

"Guard Conner Frankamp is expected to make an unofficial visit to Creighton this weekend and possibly could return for an official visit next week. The Wichita, Kansas, native is leaving Kansas after playing for the Jayhawks last season. Wichita State and Colorado reportedly are schools that Frankamp is considering in addition to Creighton"

That is great news and the mutual interest makes perfect sense. When I saw him in the Kansas offense last year, he looked like he was struggling to fit in -- Without a dominant offensive post player that offense degenerates into a few guys standing around on the the perimeter and driving or chucking, IMO.

Watching the exhibition game and the team during this season should make it pretty clear that we are probably the most complete and best fit for a player with his skill set. Not only is he an elite shooter, he's a creative player with the ball who can get to the basket and who can create opportunities for others on the floor. We would varyingly let him handle the ball as point with pick and rolls/pick and pops that make the defense make bad choices, and create or run him off the ball using screens, curls.

Duke, don't reprint any of there BS. I know several of these guys. They are either 19 yr olds or 75. 4/5 of them will never get over there envy. We land Frankamp, (which I think we will) and it will crown a great class. He is a good kid, hard working and knows bball. KU's system of bringing in inexperienced star talent doesn't fit him(look to score first rather than pass). Our system does. He would thrive.

REALLY hope we can land Frankamp, as I'm not sure there is a player out there who is a better fit for our offense.

What is up with you guys? This is a message board for discussion,with an entire forum dedicated to gossip about recruits.

Are you worried Frankamp, or any other recruit, is significantly influenced by this stuff in terms of choosing a school? And if that is the case, should we just shut the forum down so as to make sure we get the best recruits with the most sensitive egos?

Gtmo may be talking out of his rear, but you can just ignore him if you don't like what he has to say.

bird_call, its because lot of his spews is stuff that is not proven factual, but rather what other people say on other message boards or based on other opinion. I am sure our coaches would not be interested if there was a character issue with CF. Our coaches recruit kids who have good, solid character and who fit our program. When one comes on here and frequently berates recruits based on perception instead of reality than it does become rather annoying. I think our coaches know what they are doing, more so than gtmo does
