Speaking of USA Basketball, I was glad to hear that 2021 point guard Hunter Sallis was invited. Because, as I continually review our rankings, I can’t help but think that the product of Omaha is one that we may have underrated a bit.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s ranked in the top 50. We think really highly of him. However, after going back and reviewing more, I’m starting to think that he could ultimately be a top five point guard in the class. He’s pushing 6-foot-5, he can shoot, he has vision and he’s much more athletic than I realized. Yes, he’s thin, but he takes contact well and has a very polished all-around game that grows on you as you see it more.

Programs like Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Creighton, Drake, Iowa, Kansas State, Mississippi, Missouri and Nebraska have all offered scholarships. However, I’ve got a feeling it’s only a matter of time before every program in the country wants a piece of him and if I had to predict a breakout player for this weekend in Colorado Springs, my vote would go to Sallis.

He's blowing up, at this point, I just hope he doesnt go to the Huskers....

You should probably at least include a link instead of just copy/pasting a whole section of something somebody else wrote.

For those that are interested, that's from Eric Bossi's Three-Point Play for Rivals. https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com ... n-bradford

I talked with Bossi a bit about this but I disagree with him in that I don't think Hunter projects best as a point guard. I think you want to leave him on the wing and let him focus on getting buckets.

Hunter made an even bigger name for himself with team USA. Nebraska mention, no CU mention.

States he could be a 5 star at some point.

“Iowa State is recruiting me hard. That relationship is good,” he said. “Nebraska, Creighton and Ohio State have been calling or texting me every day. UConn and Missouri have also been recruiting me hard.”

Rivals guy, Eric Bossi, discussing which recruits are most underranked:

“In 2021, the easy answer for me is Nebraska guard Hunter Sallis. I wrote a few weeks ago that we may have him underrated at No. 48 nationally and after watching him again at USA Basketball a few weeks ago I believe we need to seriously consider moving him to five-star territory.”

Creighton should try to get him to play basketball for its college team. Just my opinion.

What if... his dream is to play for an out-of-state school? Can't force him to play instate. Hunter would be a nice addition needless to say.

It's hard to beat playing for your home town school in front of 17,000 fans. Stay home and enjoy it for the rest of your life.
