Not really. Look at the factors at play with these pieces. Teenagers communicating with adults, an increasing reliance on short communication forms like texts and tweets, the frequency for top recruits of requested contact from semi-random amateur and professional recruiting writers, the common use of e-mail and other non-verbal questions for such interviews, and the general shroud of relative secrecy involved with a process where coaches have to be mostly silent and recruits want to keep a lot of people happy until the final revealing of the winning school. Recruiting journalism is all about short, quick, repetitive contact, all designed to get a few pieces of info out to fans like us.

Combo guard Josh Perkins committed to the Zags three days ago. Could that have anything to do with it?

Out of curiosity, where did you hear this?
"But I truly care about Creighton and the fans and what they've done for me the last three years. I want to give them one more year and take care of business in the Big East so we can prove people wrong.'' ---- Doug McDermott

He'll take an unofficial to Butler on Aug. 29. He will also take an official visit to Vanderbilt on Sept. 6, take an unofficial to Xavier on Sept. 13, take an official to Davidson on Sept. 27 and take an official visit to Baylor in October. He has one more remaining official visit should he chose to take it.

Interesting quote from Mark Miller at HolyLand. Based on the fact that he took an official visit to CU do you think it's safe to extrapolate that we're in the final three with Vandy and Davidson?
