This sounds suspiciously like 'We should be doing better than guys like this'.

Let's hold off just a bit before calling out Mac. He found Patton before he exploded this summer and Stewart would likely have had a huge summer if not for his injury. The fact that he is even providing a visit indicates that there is something there that Mac thinks Krampelj can add to the team.

No one is calling out Mac. HandDown thinks I'm too negative about the 2015 recruiting cycle, so assumes that I'm impatient and unwilling to see how all of this looks a couple of years from now.

I'm plenty intrigued by this development. Might not materialize into anything. Or, 1-3 years from now we might be raving about how our coaches found an absolute gem of a player.

My bad, Bilas and Hand Down.

Exactly. Our coaches have a great history of identifying talent earlier than the competition. Beyond Patton and Stewart, Hanson and Harrell were two guys we found very early in the process.

I believe Krampelj has some interest/offers from BCS schools, so some big hitters are taking a look. We appear to be the first to get a visit, though.

OK, I was probably out of line there. I saw your opening post and read your posted article saying the guy was talented but a head case and thought the underlying tone was that this wasn't the sort of guy a program like ours should be dealing with.

My apologies.

No need for an apology. Some of my posts warrant criticism.
