"may be" and "probably" are the operative words.

PiPress Gophers Now @GophersNow

#Gophers 2014 target JP Macura said he could make a decision in a few weeks.

Wouldn't be shocked at Creighton. Gophers have a shot I think “@cooks99: would be a huge get...does ur gut lean in any direction?”

Story after Macura's visit at Xavier: http://www.gopherhole.com/news_article/ ... _id=388419

One thing going in our favor (and X as well) is that Macura has said several times that he really likes the small school environment. He was believed to have been on the verge of committing to Butler before Stevens left. Maybe the school size and immediate playing time will be enough to get past the "home court advantage" that Minnesota has?

Interesting that Macura moved up his Xavier visit date. It could be that he did that to keep from losing out on options as schools fill positions or he could have done it just to get the process over. Either way, it seems like he's getting a lot closer to making a decision.

This one is going to be interesting I think.
"But I truly care about Creighton and the fans and what they've done for me the last three years. I want to give them one more year and take care of business in the Big East so we can prove people wrong.'' ---- Doug McDermott

"First, the Cyclones and JP Macura, the 6-foot-5 guard from Minnesota, have gone their separate ways, and ISU is no longer a potential landing spot for the sharpshooter, a source tells the Ames Tribune."

Minnesota, Purdue, Xavier or us then, right?

Fred Hoiberg can probably tell us where JP is going to go.

Would beating ISU out for a recruit make up for how horrible their fans were when we played them? I vote no.

Interesting....wonder what that means for Minnesota. Hopefully Coach Mac can seal the deal.
